If you have a copy of my book Eat Beautiful you’ll know that my skin-first beauty approach includes a diet packed with fresh, healthy, seasonal foods. But healthy doesn’t have to mean boring or bland; which is why I love highlighting the season’s most nutrient-packed (and delicious) hero foods so that you can switch things up every few months. Summer is a great time to add figs into your diet. They are full of fibre, so they flush through the system quickly and help to detoxify the skin, meaning they are a great c،ice if you have psoriasis, acne or other skin conditions. They also add a touch of natural sweetness to dishes, making a healthier alternative to processed sugars. Sold? Check out my delicious fig salad recipe, which is great for light lunches, picnics or garden parties.
